Sending and Receiving Email

Sending and receiving email should not be difficult. You will need:

  1. To be connected to the Internet. For instance you may connect by dial up, ADSL or a leased line.
  2. An email client, e.g. Outlook express. This program picks up and organises your email.
  3. A POP3 box where your email collects (Incoming mail).
  4. An SMTP server (Outgoing mail). This will be supplied by your ISP.

Configuration of your mail client (e.g. Outlook Express) varies depending on the client.
