Our ColdFusion hosting servers exclusively run the Enterprise edition of ColdFusion 8. The Enterprise edition of ColdFusion 8 has numerous security and performance advantages over the Standard edition commonly used by other ColdFusion hosting companies. These advantages include application sandbox security, multi-threaded business report and PDF/FlashPaper generation, event gateways and support for enterprise database drivers including Oracle and Sybase.

The use of restricted ColdFusion tags like CFFILE, CFDIRECTORY and CFCONTENT is only permitted on the CF150 and CF300 plans. This can be safely permitted due to our use of ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise and Sandbox Security.

PDF/FlashPaper Generation

This feature of ColdFusion MX 7 allows you to dynamically transform web content into high quality, printable, portable documents in PDF or FlashPaper formats using a single ColdFusion tag.

CFML Custom Tags

ColdFusion custom tags let you abstract complex code and programming logic into simple units.

Custom CFX Tags

All customers are able to use the pre-installed CFX tags including CFX_Image (Windows Only). Details of these will be emailed to you when your account is created.

Structured Business Reports

ColdFusion MX 7 allow you to generate high-quality, structured business reports otherwise only possible using expensive, third-party reporting products.

Note that RDS (Remote Development Service) is disabled on all production servers, as per Macromedia security recommendations. The ColdFusion report files need to be created before they are deployed to our servers.

Event Gateways

Event Gateways in ColdFusion MX 7 allow your ColdFusion applications to respond or initiate from a wide range of protocols: SMS test messages on mobile applications, instant messaging clients, TCP/IP sockets, file systems and more.
