Backup Solutions - Tape Backup

Firstserv provide a tape backup service. There is no need to purchase and install a backup device in your server as the backup takes place over the network. Tape archiving and swapping is taken care of for you. Tapes are stored off site in a fire-proof safe.

Details of the service:

Backups are incremental on a daily basis with a full backup once a week.

Backups per server are limited to 10GB of data per server; restores are charged at standard system administration rates.

Files cannot be backed up if they are being locked by the system. Such files will need to be copied to a normal disk file before they can be backed up. Firstserv can advise you as to the best method to set this up.
